The Embassy of Pakistan in Jordan organized a Seminar in connection with Independence Day of Pakistan, at the Chancery premises today. A sizeable number of people from print and electronic media of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan participated.
The Ambassador of Pakistan to Jordan, Major General Sajjad Ali Khan (Retd) in his remarks briefed the audience regarding economic and tourism potential of Pakistan. He apprised about the current improving Covid situation and the steps taken by the Government of Pakistan to tackle the pandemic. He highlighted Pakistan-Jordan relations with special focus on economic and connectivity potential in Pakistan. He also underscored centrality of Kashmir and Palestine as two major unresolved issues of Muslim Ummah.
He concluded by elaborating the current evolving situation in Afghanistan with particular focus on Pakistan’s desire of peace and stability in the country. He emphasized that Pakistan remains committed to an inclusive political settlement as the way forward representing all Afghan ethnic groups. He added that Pakistan would continue to work with international community and all Afghan stakeholders to facilitate an inclusive political settlement in the country.
