Embassy of Pakistan (Hanoi) Vietnam Celebrates Pakistan Day-2016

“The creation of Pakistan within seven years of the passage of the 1940 Lahore Resolution reflected the wisdom and tenacity of our founding fathers”, Ambassador Zaigham Uddin Azam remarked during his address to a large gathering at a reception arranged at a local hotel. Ambassador stated that under the impeccable and sagacious leadership of Quaid -e- Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, the Muslims of the sub- continent realized their dream. It was not incumbent upon us to make Pakistan a truly welfare state as envisioned by the Quaid-e- Azam.

Ambassador, who delivered his speech in Urdu language, highlighted the contours of bilateral relations with Vietnam and expressed hope that a high level visit this year would provide impetus to the development and diversification of bilateral trade and investment cooperation between Pakistan and Vietnam.

The messages of the President and Prime Minister commemorating the Pakistan Day were read out during the function.

The Chief Guest, Mr. Duong Chi Dong, Assistant to Foreign Minister of Vietnam, spokes of the friendly relations between the two countries while emphasizing the need to seize the opportunities for increased cooperation between the two countries.

More than 300 guests comprising the diplomatic corps, Members of Parliament, Government Officials, Defence representatives, media and think tanks attended and enjoyed the beautifully arranged Pakistan Day Reception.

Earlier Ambassador also recorded the speech in Urdu, to commemorate the National Day of Pakistan, at the state television, which was also broadcasted in the morning of 23rd March 2016.
