Farewell Call on Foreign Minister by Danish Ambassador

The outgoing Ambassador of Denmark, Mr. Uffe Wolffhechel, paid a farewell call on Foreign Minister Hina Rabbani Khar on 27 July 2012.The Foreign Minister appreciated his services in bringing Pakistan and Denmark closer during his tenure as Ambassador.

Ambassador Wolffhechel thanked Foreign Minister Khar for the cooperation and hospitality extended during his stay in Pakistan. They expressed their satisfaction at the current state of bilateral cooperation and reiterated their desire to further expand and diversify their mutually beneficial relations. They also recalled the visit of Danish Foreign Minister, Villy Søvndal, to Pakistan on 13 June 2012, which provided an opportunity for in depth bilateral consultations. Foreign Minister Khar thanked Denmark for supporting Pakistan’s case for greater market access to the European Union, particularly during its EU Presidency. They also exchanged views on international and regional issues of mutual interest, including Afghanistan.
