An 8-member business delegation of the Federation of Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Pakistan (FPCCI) led by Vice President FPCCI, Abdul Rauf Mukhtar visited Brazil from 16 to 23 June 2019.
During the visit, among other engagements, the delegation held useful meetings with the Federation of Trade Associations of State of Sao Paulo, Federation of Commerce and Industry of State of Sao Paulo and the Federation of Industries of State of Sao Paulo. The delegation also visited M/s Zaccaria, an agriculture machinery manufacturer specialized in rice and maze processing plants.
The leading Pakistani businessmen received orientation of doing business in Brazil and had fruitful B2B meetings along with Business to Customer (B2C) orientation through E-commerce with local partnership. The Brazilian companies expressed keen interest in supplying a number of products including animal feed and veterinary medicines to Pakistani market. Ways and means to bring Brazilian investment to Pakistan were also discussed.
Earlier, the leader of the delegation was briefed by the Ambassador of Pakistan about the various business opportunities Brazil offers for the Pakistani businessmen especially in trade. The Ambassador also briefed on his team’s efforts in increasing the volume of bilateral trade and exports from Pakistan. The Technical Cooperation Agreement between Pakistan and Brazil, signed in August 2018, has opened additional avenues of cooperation in important fields including agriculture, scientific and technical fields.
First Secretary Azeem Ullah Cheema, Senior Official of the Embassy Saqib Nisar and Trade Development Officer Thais Lobo assisted the delegation during their visit to Sao Paulo, Brazil.
