Flag Hoisting Ceremony in Lisbon on the Occasion of 72nd Independence Day of Pakistan

To mark the auspicious occasion of 72nd Independence Day of Pakistan, a Flag Hoisting ceremony was held at the Chancery. The national flag was raised by the Charge d’Affaires Mr. Fayaz Ahmad Khan. Messages of the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan were also read out on the occasion.

Mr.Fayaz Ahmad Khan urged Pakistani community members to renew their pledge to work together and contribute to the progress and prosperity of Pakistan.

The Charge d’Affaires along with children cut the cake to celebrate Pakistan’s birthday. A large number of community members, especially women and children, as well as Portuguese friends of Pakistan attended the ceremony.

A spectacular Pakistan Car Rally was also arranged to mark the 72nd Independence Day. The car rally with Pakistani flags passed through the main squares of Lisbon city and remained the center of attention.
