Foreign Minister Khar meets Chinese Foreign Minister at Bali

Foreign Minister Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar met Foreign Minister of China, Mr. Yang Jiechi, on the sidelines of the 18th ARF Foreign Ministerial Meeting, in Bali, on 22 July 2011.

Both leaders exchanged views on various aspects of bilateral relations as well as the regional situation.

The Chinese Foreign Minister congratulated the Foreign Minister on assuming her new responsibilities. The Chinese Foreign Minister expressed satisfaction with continuing progress being made in Pakistan China relations.

Foreign Minister, Hina Rabbani Khar, expressed pleasure that her first bilateral meeting as Foreign Minister, was with her Chinese counterpart. She appreciated that there was a clear sense of direction to move Pakistan-China relations forward and underscored the importance of the all-weather friendship and strategic partnership between the two countries.
