Foreign Minister’s call on President of Iran

Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi called on President of Iran Seyed Ibrahim Raisi today in Tehran. The Foreign Minister was accompanied by Special Representative for Afghanistan Ambassador Muhammad Sadiq, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Tehran Rahim Hayat Qureshi and senior officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Foreign Minister conveyed heartfelt felicitations to President Raisi from Pakistani leadership on victory in presidential election and receiving Parliament’s endorsement on Cabinet. He reiterated Pakistan’s desire to work with Iran in all areas to further strengthen fraternal ties.

Foreign Minister Qureshi thanked President Raisi for Iran’s consistent support on Kashmir issue, specially from Supreme Leader.

On the latest situation in Afghanistan, the Foreign Minister apprised President Raisi on Pakistan’s perspective and underlined coordinated approach. He added that it was important for the neighbors of Afghanistan for continued consultations on the way forward as the peace in Afghanistan would lead to economic and political benefits for the region.

Welcoming Foreign Minister Qureshi, President Raisi recalled excellent bilateral ties between the two countries. He appreciated Foreign Minister’s visit for strengthening regional approach in the wake of situation in Afghanistan and expressed hope that Afghanistan would achieve peace and stability.

Foreign Minister Qureshi extended invitation, on behalf of Prime Minister Imran Khan  to President Raisi to visit Pakistan. President Raisi accepted the invitation.

دیدار وزیر امور خارجه پاکستان با ریاست جمهوری ایران

مخدوم شاه محمود قریشی وزیر امور خارجه پاکستان پنجشنبه 04/06/1400 با سید ابراهیم رئیسی، رئیس جمهور ایران در تهران دیدار و گفتگو کرد. “محمد صادق” نماینده ویژه نخست وزیر پاکستان در امور افغانستان ، رحیم حیات قریشی سفیر پاکستان در ایران و دیگر مقامات ارشد، وزیر امور خارجه را در این سفر همراهی کردند. وزیر امور خارجه پاکستان پیروزی رئیسی در انتخابات ریاست جمهوری و تأییدکابینه وی در مجلس را به ایشان تبریک گفت. او همچنین بر تمایل پاکستان جهت همکاری با ایران در همه زمینه ها به منظور تقویت بیشتر روابط برادرانه تاکید کرد. قریشی از رئیس جمهور ایران به ویژه مقام معظم رهبری در حمایت های مستمر ایران در خصوص مسئله کشمیر ، تشکر و قدردانی کرد. وی در خصوص آخرین وضعیت افغانستان ، رئیس جمهور ایران را از دیدگاه پاکستان آگاه و بر رویکرد هماهنگ تاکید کرد. او افزود که برای همسایگان افغانستان تداوم رایزنی ها در آینده مهم است زیرا صلح در افغانستان منافع اقتصادی و سیاسی برای کل منطقه به دنبال خواهد داشت. رئیس جمهور ایران ضمن استقبال از وزیر امور خارجه پاکستان، روابط دوجانبه عالی بین دو کشور را یادآوری کرد. وی از سفر وزیر امور خارجه پاکستان در تقویت رویکرد منطقه ای در پی اوضاع افغانستان قدردانی نمود و ابراز امیدواری کرد که افغانستان به صلح و ثبات خواهد رسید.
