Foreign Minister’s meeting with President Iranian Parliament

Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi met with the President of the Islamic Parliament of Iran, Mr. Muhammad BagherGhalibaf in Tehran, today. During the meeting, both sides recognized the need for further strengthening bilateral ties. Foreign Minister apprised the Speaker about Prime Minister Imran Khan’s vision of expanding mutual cooperation between Pakistan and Iran, particularly in expanding trade and commercial activities for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries. He also highlighted the recent initiatives taken by both countries such as working to establish Border Marketplaces and opening of new border crossing points at the common border.

Being two democracies, the Foreign Minister Qureshi underlined the importance of undertaking regular exchanges of delegations between the two parliaments. He appreciated the existing collaboration between the Parliamentary Friendship Groups and noted the need to enhance coordination at international parliamentary fora such as Asian Parliamentary Assembly.

Both sides had a comprehensive exchange of views on evolving regional and International developments. The Foreign Minister apprised the Speaker about the grave human rights violations in IIOJK and appreciated the support of the Iranian leadership to the people of IIOJK.

The Foreign Minister recalled the invitation already extended to Mr. Ghalibaf by the Speaker National Assembly to visit Pakistan and expressed hope that the visit will further strengthen parliamentary cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.

دیدار وزیر امور خارجه پاکستان با رئیس مجلسشورای اسلامی ایران 

          وزیر امور خارجه پاکستان، مخدوم شاه محمود قریشی امروز با آقای محمد باقر قالیباف رئیسمجلس شورای اسلامی ایران در تهران دیدار و گفتگو کرد.در این دیدار، طرفین بر لزوم تقویت بیشتر روابط دو جانبه تاکید کردند. وزیر امور خارجه، سخنگوی مجلس را در خصوص چشم انداز نخست وزیر عمران خان مبنی بر گسترش همکاری های متقابل پاکستان و ایران به ویژه گسترش فعالیت های تجاری و بازرگانیبه نفع مردم دو کشور ، مطلع ساخت. وی همچنین ابتکارات اخیر دو کشور من جمله تلاش در ایجاد بازارچه های مرزی و افتتاح نقاط جدید عبور و مرور از مرز مشترک را خاطرنشان کرد.

    وزیر امور خارجه بر اهمیت انجام منظم مبادلات هیئت های بین پارلمان های دو کشور دموکراتیک تأکید کرد.وی از همکاری موجود بین گروه های دوستی-پارلمانیقدردانینمود و به لزوم تقویت هماهنگی در مجامع بین المللی-پارلمانی مانند مجمع پارلمانی آسیا اشاره کرد.

طرفین در مورد تحولات رو به توسعه منطقه ای و بین المللی تبادل نظر جامعی داشتند.وزیر امور خارجه، رئیس مجلس را در خصوص نقض شدید حقوق بشر در منطقه جامو و کشمیر اشغالی و غیرقانونی هندمطلع کرد و از حمایت های رهبر معظم انقلاب اسلامی ایران از مردم جامو و کشمیر اشغالی هند قدردانینمود.

وزیر امور خارجه پاکستان بار دیگر از آقای قالیباف، رئیس مجلس شورایاسلامی برای دیدار از پاکستان دعوت بعمل آورده و ابراز امیدواری کرد که این سفر همکاری های پارلمانی بین پاکستان و ایران را بیش از پیش تقویتخواهد کرد.
