An eight-member delegation of the Foreign Relations Committee of the Danish Parliament visited Pakistan on 05 March, 2009 and held discussions with their counterparts in the Senate and National Assembly of Pakistan. They were received in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Nawabzada Malik Amad Khan, who also hosted a working lunch for them.

In their meeting with the Minister of State, discussion took place on the state of bilateral relations and developments in Pakistan and the region. They were briefed on Pakistan’s endeavours to improve its economy and law & order and its efforts towards stability and prosperity in the region. The visiting Parliamentarians deeply appreciated Pakistan endeavours in these fields.

The visit of the Danish Parliamentarians to Pakistan is testament to excellent relations existing between the two countries. Pakistan greatly values Denmark’s longstanding interest in Pakistan’s socio-economic development and its support to Pakistan in the EU.
