Foreign Secretary meets Secretary General ECO

Secretary General ECO, Mr. Muhammad Yahya Maroofi met the Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir at the Foreign Office today.

The Secretary General informed the Foreign Secretary about status of various important ECO initiatives in multiple domains of cooperation including transport, finance, science and technology as well as establishing ECO Ambassadors’ forum in various capitals and collaboration among the Foreign Service institutes of ECO member states.

The Foreign Secretary stated that Pakistan attached great important to cooperation within ECO framework and lauded efforts of the Secretary General in giving a new momentum to multi-dimensional cooperation in ECO. The ECO Secretary General was assured Pakistan’s full support and commitment to the realization of ECO’s objectives.
