Our Ambassador

Mr. Murad Baseer


H.E. Murad Baseer is career diplomat of the Foreign Service of Pakistan. He joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2003. He was appointed as Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to the Republic of Zimbabwe on December 2021 and presented his credentials on 12 May 2022.

Academic Achievements

The Ambassador holds a Master of Science (M. Sc) degree in Defense and Strategic Studies (1997) along with a pre doctorate degree in Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) in International Relations (2003) from Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan.

Apart from native Urdu language, the Ambassador speaks English and Turkish languages with proficiency. He has some working level knowledge of Arabic and French.


Ambassador is an outdoors enthusiast and loves being in the outdoors, camping hiking, trekking etc. Likes to read and travel and plays chess. Actively involved in shooting sports especially Rifle and Pistol.
