High Commission sponsored Speech contest at UNISSA

Acting High Commissioner presided over the oratory event at UNISSA ON 10TH September. The evnt was sponsored by the High commission in a bid to strengthen bilateral relations with brotherly country.The Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam, Ahmed Ali Sirohey committed that such events will be continued in future.

Also present at the ceremony was Dr Haji Mohammed Hussain bin Pehin Penyurat Haji Ahmad, Deputy Rector of UNISSA; Pengiran Dr Haji Saiful Bahrin bin Pengiran Haji Kula, Director of the Centre for Promotion of Knowledge and Language as the chairman of the organizing committee of the event; as well as lecturers and students of UNISSA.

Participated by six students from four higher education institutes (IPT) such as UBD, UNISSA, Politeknik Brunei (PB) and Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB), the contest, co-hosted with the High Commission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan in Brunei Darussalam, aimed to provide opportunities for students to cultivate their ability to express their views and ideas in addition to strengthening commun-ication skills in English.

The competition was also expected to build confidence to speak in public.
