Ambassador of Pakistan to Senegal, hosted an iftar dinner on April 5, 2023. The dinner was attended by notable Senegalese businessmen and business women including Vice President of Dakar Chamber of Commerce, Agriculture and Industry, Secretary General of the International Centre for Foreign Trade as well as President of the Association of Women Importers and Exporters. Heads of notable business houses of Senegal like Marega, Green Pharma, AGSM Pharma, Wendit Group and Elle et Lui Design also attended.
Ambassador Saima Sayed, while talking to the guests, highlighted that Pakistan and Senegal had been close to one another since the start of their bilateral relations in 1966. Now it was imperative that linkages must be strengthened between both countries in fields like trade, education, tourism, agriculture and most importantly people to people connections. She called upon the Senegalese business community to help in building such connections.
Among the guests, some had visited Pakistan in connection with the recently concluded 2nd Health &Engineering Show in Lahore and some are planning to attend the 4th International Trade Exhibition in Karachi in May this year. The guests were also shown a short micromentary on trade and business opportunities in Pakistan. The Pakistani cuisine offered at the iftar was appreciated by all attending.
