On 27th April, 2018, Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, in the presence of Federal Minister for National Health Services Saira Afzal Tarar, HE Moazzam A. Khan Ambassador of Pakistan to the UAE and UAE Ambassador to Pakistan, Hamad Obaid Ibrahim Salem Al Zaabi, inaugurated the country’s largest state of the art diabetes centre where treatment of all the diabetes-related complications will be provided under one roof.

He also announced a donation of Rs100 million for the centre, located at Phulgaran Islamabad, where free of cost treatment will be provided to around 70pc patients.

On this occasion, HE Moazzam A. Khan praised the role played by the TDC team who has taken on the challenge of dealing with the epidemic of diabetes sweeping through Pakistan.
