Independence Day Celebrations in Zimbabwe

On the occasion of 71st Independence Day of Pakistan, a Flag Hoisting Ceremony was held at the Embassy of Pakistan, Harare, Zimbabwe on Tuesday 14’h August, 2018.

A large number of resident Pakistanis including women and children in Harare representing all walks of life along with the Pakistan Armed Forces Officer on deputation in Zimbabwe attended the ceremony.

After the recitation of the Holy Quran, the Ambassador performed the flag hoisting ceremony. Thereafter, the messages of the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan, on the occasion of 71’t Independence Duy, were read out. The ceremony concluded with cake cutting ceremony. Light refreshment was served to the guests.

The Ambassador in his address to the Pakistani community on the occasion, stressed upon raising funds for the construction of Diamer Basha and Mohmand Dams. The Ambassador informed the community that a separate bank account has been opened in the bank in Harare for collection of funds for the dams.
