Italian Ambassador calls on Minister of State Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar
Italian Ambassador Mr. Vincenzo Pratti called on Minister of State for Foreign affairs Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar today, and conveyed his government’s condolences over the assassination of former Minister for Minorities Affairs Shahbaz Bhatti. The Minister of State said that his assassination was not only a loss for the Government but also for the people of Pakistan.
Discussing the bilateral relations between the two countries, the Minister of State underlined that Pakistan was keen on the early convening of Joint Economic Commission with Italy. She also expressed appreciation for Italy’s continued support to Pakistan in gaining market access in the EU.
