An event was organized at Pakistan House, Manila on 27th October, 2019 to observe ‘Kashmir Black Day’, to protest against the occupation of Kashmir by Indian forces on 27th October 1947 and the scale and impunity of the Indian government’s human rights violations against Kashmiris after revocation of Article 370-A on 5th August 2019.

Messages of the President and Prime Minister on the ‘Kashmir Black Day’ were read out which emphasized Pakistan’s continued moral, political and diplomatic support to the legitimate right of the Kashmiri people to self-determination in accordance with the UN charter and the applicable UN Security Council resolutions.

A documentary on Kashmir was later screened, informing the audience of the atrocities being committed. Brochures and pamphlets on Jammu and Kashmir issue were also distributed amongst the participants for information.
