Kashmir Hour

Solidarity with the people of Kashmir was observed today at the Embassy from 1200-1230 hours.

The event started with recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by playing of national anthems of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. Ambassador Nadeem Riyaz also addressed the gathering.

The Ambassador, in his talk highlighted the gross human rights violations committed by India in IoK. He stressed that the Kashmir dispute should be solved in accordance with the UN Security Council Resolutions. He spoke about the developments in Kashmir post August 05, 2019. He stressed that Kashmir is a disputed territory and Pakistan will continue to provide its moral, political and diplomatic support for Kashmiri brothers and sisters. He also informed the audience about some of the upcoming events regarding Kashmir in Italy.

The embassy was especially decked with Azad Kashmir’s flag and posters, while participants held placards. The event concluded with prayers for the safety and security of Pakistan and the people of Kashmir.

The event was attended by officers, their families, local and Pakistani based staff and some members of Pakistani community.
