Kashmir Solidarity Day

A well attended function was held in Quaid-e-Azam Auditorium of Embassy of Pakistan in Kuwait this afternoon to express Solidarity with the Kashmiri people and to highlight the atrocities being committed by Indian forces in Indian Occupied Kashmir. Despite being a weekday, there was a sizeable presence of Pakistani community and local media.

Ambassador Ghulam Dastgir in his remarks, highlighted the plight of the Kashmiri people especially the recent increase in atrocities by the Indian Occupied forces and explained Pakistan’s principled position on Kashmir based on UN resolutions. He said that Pakistan was always ready to discuss the core issue of Jammu and Kashmir with India bilaterally as well as at any forum. He further reiterated that Pakistan has a commitment as a party to the Kashmir dispute, to continue to extend diplomatic, political and moral support and advocate the right to self-determination of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.

The function concluded with unanimous expression of support to the just cause of the Kashmiri people and prayers for the progress, solidarity and prosperity of Pakistan and success of the valiant people of Kashmir in their struggle for right to self-determination.
