Pakistan High Commission Mauritius organized an event at the chancery to mark the Kashmir Solidarity Day. The event was attended by families of Pakistani community, local dignitaries, representatives of NGOs and Human Rights organizations and representatives of various segments of the society.
The Messages of the President and the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan were read out on the occasion and a documentary on Kashmir
Issue and national songs were played.
High Commissioner for Pakistan H.E. Dr Syed Rizwan Ahmed delivered the key note speech on the occasion highlighting the importance of the day, the plight of Kashmiri people and brutal violations of the human rights of Kashmiri people at the hands of occupying Indian forces. He reiterated the firm resolve of the Government and the people of Pakistan to support our Kashmiri brothers in their struggle for their right of self-determination. HE also highlighted the report of UK’s APPKG visit to Pakistan. He also urged the international community to play their role in resolving the issue in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations Organisation.
The event concluded with Dua for Kashmiri Martyrs.
