Kashmir Solidarity Day observed on 5th February 2017

Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed in the Chancery on 5th February 2017. A large number of notables of the Pakistani community/students attended the event. The audience was addressed by Professor Muhammad Arif (teaching in Aga Khan International School, Dar es Salaam), a young Pakistani businessman Mr. Amin Godial and former President of Welfare Association of Pakistan (Kashmiri) Mr. Naeemullah Dar. The speakers highlighted brutalities of the Indian forces against innocent Kashmiris in the Indian occupied Kashmir.

In his brief speech, the Charge d’ Affaires highlighted the Kashmir dispute in historical prospective. He also highlighted the recent brutal human rights violation at the hands of Indian forces killing hundreds of innocent Kashmiris in IOK. He said that the United Nations and international community should fulfill their moral responsibility regarding impletion of the relevant UNSC resolution on Kashmir.
