Major General J. F. Kapwani, ndc, Air Force Commander of Tanzania, Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force officially visited Tanzania from 27-30 January 2015

On invitation of Major General J. F. Kapwani, ndc, Air Force Commander of Tanzania, Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force officially visited Tanzania from 27-30 January 2015 with his four members delegation.

Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt had a meeting with Gen. D.A. Mwamunyange, Head of TPDF on 28^th January. Bilateral cooperation on Defence between the two countries was discussed. A ceremony of signing of Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of Pakistan and Government of the United Republic of Tanzania on Defence Cooperation was also held at TPDF.

In the afternoon, the visiting Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt called on Major General J. F. Kapwani, ndc, Air Force Commander of Tanzania at the Air Force Headquarters where he was briefed. Discussion was also held of mutual interest between the two countries after detailed briefing by the host.
On 29^th January, the visiting delegation departed to Mwanza to visit the Tanzanian Air Force base and at night they had attended the official dinner.

The visiting Air Chief Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt also called on to the Hon. Dr. Hussein Mwinyi MP, Minister for Defence and National Service, Tanzania today on 30^th January and discussed enhancing mutual cooperation in defence and bilateral relations.
