Meeting of H.E. Ali Javed, Ambassador of Pakistan with Chief of Cabinet of the President of the Italian Senate, Senator H.E. Filippo Milone

Ambassador of Pakistan Ali Javed held bilateral meeting with Chief of Cabinet of the President of the Italian Senate, Senator H.E Filippo Milone earlier today. The Ambassador delivered the invitation for bilateral visit from Chairman Senate of Pakistan addressed to his Italian Counterpart.

Senator Milone extended greetings and gratitude for the invitation on behalf of H.E Iganzio la Russa, President of Italian Senate.

He praised wellestablished contributions to Italian economic development by the 300,000 strong Pakistani diaspora, largest in EU, and reaffirmed commitment to taking forward bilateralcooperation between the two historically friendly nations.

Pakistan and Italy are celebrating 75 years of diplomatic ties whereas next year the two countries shall celebrate 70th anniversary of the first ever ascent of K2 by the Italian mountaineering team dating back to June 30, 1954.

The interaction provided opportunity for both sides to review their existing status of excellent bilateral cooperation and identify venues for prospective parliamentary and political exchanges.
