Meeting of Honourable Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjarani with President of Iran Ayatollah Dr. Seyed Ebrahim Raisi          

At the official invitation of the Government of Iran, Honourable Chairman Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjarani participated in the oath-taking ceremony of President Ayatollah Dr. Seyed Ebrahim Raisi on 5 August 2021. The Chairman was accompanied by a 5-member delegation, including Senator Dilawar Khan, Senator Ahmed Khan, Senator Abdul Qadir and senior Government officials.

Before the inauguration ceremony, Chairman Senate held a bilateral meeting with President Raisi at the Islamic Consultative Assembly. Chairman Senate extended felicitations of the President and Prime Minister to President Raisi on his inauguration as the 8^th President of Iran. Both sides held talks on further strengthening relations between Pakistan and Iran, which were rooted in common history, culture and people-to-people ties.

The two sides expressed satisfaction at the progress achieved in opening of international border crossing points and border sustenance markets as a means to promote economic uplift of local population on both sides of the border. They stressed the need to further deepen bilateral relations in trade, investment, connectivity and border management. Concerns were expressed  over disruption  of power supply from Iran to Gwadar, Turbat, and Panjgoor since 6th July 2021 and lately to Makran division. Chairman Senate elaborated on the geo-economic vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan to promote regional trade, commercial activity and infrastructure connectivity.

Chairman Senate appreciated President Raisi’s emphasis on forging unity and solidarity in Muslim Ummah and called for joint efforts to combat the growing challenge of Islamophobia around the world.

Taking note of the observance of Youm-e-Istehsaal on 5^th August, Chairman Senate expressed gratitude to the Iranian leadership for their consistent support to the people of Kashmir. He emphasized that Iran’s voice had been a source of strength for the Kashmiris and expressed the hope that Iran would continue its support for the just struggle of Kashmiris against Indian oppression, under the astute leadership of President Raisi.

Both sides also exchanged views on the evolving regional and International situation, including Afghanistan. They recognized the importance of close coordination between the two neighbouring states to facilitate a negotiated settlement and promote sustained peace in Afghanistan. Both countries are also central to evolving a shared approach toward long-term economic progress and prosperity in the region.

جلسه جناب آقای محمد صادق سنجرانی، ریاست محترم مجلس سنای پاکستان  با ریاست محترم جمهوری اسلامی ایران جناب آقای دکتر آیت الله سید ابراهیم رئیسی

طی دعوت رسمی دولت ایران ،جناب آقای محمد صادق سنجرانی ریاست محترم مجلس سنای پاکستان در مراسم تحلیف ریاست جمهوری جناب آقای دکتر آیت الله سید ابراهیم رئیسی در روز چهاردهم مرداد  شرکت نمودند. رئیس مجلس سنا همراه هیاتی پنج نفره شامل سناتور دلاور خان، سناتور احمد خان، سناتور عبدل قادر خان و مدیران ارشد دولتی این کشور شرکت کردند..

قبل از برگزاری مراسم،  جلسه ای  دو جانبه بین ریاست مجلس سنا و ریس جمهور رئیسی، در مجلس شورای اسلامی برگزار شد.  رئیس مجلس سنا، تبریک رئیس جهمور و نخست وزیر پاکستان  را به رئیس جمهور رئیسی در شروع ریاست ایشان در هشتمین دوره ریاست جمهوری اعلام نموند. طرفین در تقویت روابط بین ایران و پاکستان که ریشه در تاریخ، فرهنگ، ارتباط بین دو ملت  بحث و گفتگو کردند.

طرفین رضایت خود را از پیشرفت های به عمل آمده در افتتاح بازارچه ها و گذرگاه های مرزی در جهت توسعه زندگی مرز نشینان دو کشور بیان نمودند. همچنین هر دو طرف بر لزوم تقویت روابط تجاری، سرمایه گزاری ارتباطات، مدیریت مرزی تاکید کردند. دو طرف در مورد اختلال تامین برق از ایران به گوادر ، تربت و پنجگور از 6 تاریخ  ژوئیه 2021 (مصادف با 15 تیر 1400)  و اخیراً در بخش مکران ابراز نگرانی کردند. رئیس مجلس سنای پاکستان دیدگاه ژئو-اقتصادی نخست وزیر عمران خان را در جهت توسعه تجارت منطقه ای و فعالیت های بازرگانی و همچنین زیرساخت های ارتباطی تشریح نمودند.

وی از رئیس جمهور رئیسی برای تاکید در ایجاد وحدت و همبستگی بین مسلمانان تشکر و قدردانی کرد و دعوت به تلاش های مشترک در مقابله با رشد چالش های اسلام هراسی در جهان کرد .

با توجه به گرامیداشت رو استحصال کشمیر در 14 مرداد، رئیس مجلس سنا از مقام معظم رهبری برای حمایت بی دریغ از مردم کشمیر ابراز قدردانی نمود و اظهار امیدواری کردند که  آقای رئیسی در دوران ریاست جمهوری به حمایت از مردم کشمیر در مقابل ظلم هند ادامه خواهند داد.

همچنین هر دو طرف به تبادل دیدگاههای منطقه ای و بین المللی من جمله افغانستان پرداختند. هر دو بر اهمیت همکاری های دو جانبه بین دو کشور همسایه در جهت تسهیل مذاکرات در حل اختلافات و ثبات صلح در افغانستان تاکید نموده و عنوان داشتند که دو کشور در مسیر مشترک پیشرفت اقتصادی بلند مدت و رفاه منطقه ای گام بردارند.
