Mehfil-E-Mushaira at the Embassy

A Mehfil-e-Mushaira was organized at the Embassy on Sunday, 11th March, 2018.

Ten poets from Rome, Milan, Prato and Frankfurt, Germany participated in the event. The theme ranged from struggles of a common man moving to Italy in search of a better livelihood to love, patriotism and the difficulties in life. Poetry was read in both Urdu and Punjabi. Their poems held the audience captive and received huge applause.

Participants greatly appreciated the initiative and expressed the hope that such events would be organized in the future, providing them an opportunity to showcase their talent.

The Ambassador and officers of the Embassy mingled with the participants over dinner.

The event was attended by a large number of Pakistani community members from various cities of Italy.
