Message of Condolence and Offer of Relief Assistance from the Prime Minister of Pakistan to President of Sri Lanka on the Disaster Caused by the Landslide in Badulla District

“Excellency,

I am deeply saddened by the news of the tragedy that befell our brethren in Sri Lanka.
The loss of precious human lives and colossal damage to infrastructure due to the landslide in Badulla District, have caused great sorrow in Pakistan.

On behalf of the Government, the people of Pakistan and on my behalf, I wish to express our deep sorrow and condolences on this tragedy. Our hearts go out to your calamity stricken people.

We are ready to assist in any way to meet Sri Lanka’s urgent requirements, especially in relief and rehabilitation efforts.

Our prayers are with you and the fraternal people of Sri Lanka.
