Message of Condolence from President of Pakistan to the President of People’s Republic of China over the Earthquake in Yunnan, China

I am deeply saddened to learn about the loss of precious lives and property due to severe earthquake that hit South-Western Yunnan province on 3 August.

The Government and people of Pakistan express their profound sympathies and condolences to the government and people of China and to the bereaved families over the loss of their loved ones and their personal homes and property.

At this tragic time of pain and anguish, we extend our fullest support and solidarity to our Chinese brothers and sisters.

We are confident that the great Chinese people will be able to bear this tragedy with courage and determination.
