‘We have gathered here today to mourn the shahadat of those innocent Pakistanis who became victim of the recent cowardly terrorist attacks in Pakistan resulting in loss of precious lives. We offer our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved families, share their grief and pray for the departed souls’, Ambassador of Pakistan in Brazil Najm us Saqib stated while addressing a gathering organized today at the Embassy of Pakistan, Brasilia to observe a ‘Mourning Day’ for the victims of Peshawar and Mastung terrorist attacks.
The Ambassador stated that ‘Pakistan has endured a wave of attacks especially in the past 15 years. The security situation of the country has improved in recent years and many attacks were halted and lives saved because of timely intelligence.’ Reiterating his Government’s principled stand on addressing the menace of terrorism, the Ambassador said, ‘Pakistan condemns and abhors terrorism in all of its forms and manifestations.’
Pakistan Community Representatives joined the Ambassador, Officers and Staff of the Embassy of Pakistan in Quran Khawni, offering condolences and special prayers for the martyrs and injured in the recent terrorist attacks while expressing complete solidarity with the resilient fellow Pakistanis.
On 15 July 2018, the Government of Brazil also condemned the terrorist attack on 13 July in the city of Mastung. While expressing its condolences to the families of the victims, wishing complete recovery to the injured and solidarity with the people and Government of Pakistan, Brazil strongly reiterated its rejection to all acts of terrorism, regardless of their motivation.
