Mr. Ahmed Ali Sirohey HoM Pakistan called on H.E. Mr. BirgiRafani, Prime Minister Republic of Niger and conveyed sympathies over the loss of precious lives including death of a Nigerien Cabinet Minister due to COVID-19 Pandemic.

He conveyed On behalf of Prime Minister, a message of greetings and goodwill, which he very warmly reciprocated. During the meeting matters related to mutual interest including various areas of bilateral cooperation were discussed. The Nigerien Prime Minister was briefed about the situation in Indian Occupied Jammu & Kashmir and subsequent illegal measures by the Indian authorities to alter the demography of occupied disputed territory.

Nigerien Prime Minister wished the newly appointed head of Mission a great success during his stay at Niamey and assured his full cooperation and assistance from his office in further enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries. He praised Government of Pakistan on the decision to upgrade the Mission to Ambassadorial level. It proved that Pakistan gives Niger the coveted place of importance, the PM said. The Prime Minister reiterated that our relations are based on solid foundation, commonality of faith and similarity of views on all regional and international issues. He appreciated Pakistan’s stance a ND restraint on Kashmir issue and assured full support for just cause and right of self-determination of the people of occupied Jammu & Kashmir. He desired that the strong brotherly relations may be translated into greater co-operation in the field of Agriculture, mining, irrigation, infrastructure, helath, education, energy, industry and research. He underscored the assistance in food self-sufficiency. He asked to equip our agri-specialists to produce a high yield rice seed. He invited Pakistani investors to explore Niger, which is now open for all. He assured all possible facilities to investors.
