National Day celebration at Kigali

Flag Hoisting Ceremony was held at the High Commission of Pakistan Kigali to celebrate the National Day of Pakistan on 23rd March 2022.The Ceremony was attended by a large number of Pakistani diaspora in Rwanda. The President and Prime Minister of Pakistan messages on the occasion were read out to the audience.

The High Commissioner of Pakistan in his brief speech highlighted the historical background and importance of 23rd March 1940. He said that Pakistan Day was commemorated to pay homage and tribute to the founding father and leaders of Pakistan Movement for their sacrifices that led to the creation of an independent homeland for the Muslims of the sub-continent. He also highlighted the present government’s policies for the development and prosperity of the country.

At the end of the event, the guests were entertained with light refreshments. Mission also held a reception in the evening for our community. The reception was participated by large numbers of Pakistanis community members.
