National Day of Pakistan

On the occasion of “83^rd National Day of Pakistan”, the Embassy of Pakistan organized a Flag Hoisting Ceremony at the Chancery. Pakistani community members from all walks of life, including women and children attended the event. Students from Pakistan school sang the national anthem.

During the ceremony, messages from the President and Prime Minister were also read out.

In his remarks, Ambassador Malik Muhammad Farooq highlighted the significance of National Day and paid tribute to the forefathers of nation, whose sacrifices led to the creation of a separate homeland. The Ambassador thanked the Pakistani community for their support and urged them to work diligently with unity and pride in further strengthening Pakistan-Kuwait relations.

In connection with celebrations of “83^rd National Day of Pakistan”,  and to commemorate the 60^th anniversary of diplomatic relations, the Embassy also arranged an official Reception on 21^st March 2023.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Oil, State of Kuwait, H.E. Dr. Bader Hamed Youssef Al-Mulla was the Chief Guest, while Assistant Foreign Minister for Asian Affairs H.E. Ambassador Sameeh Essa Johar Hayat represented Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kuwait. The reception was attended by a large number of Kuwaiti dignitaries as well as members of Diplomatic corps and prominent Pakistani community in Kuwait. Students from Pakistani schools exhibited cultural diversity of Pakistan through their performances on regional songs.

On the occasion, Ambassador Malik Muhammad Farooq highlighted the overall ambit of bilateral relations and presented the commemorative logo of 60^th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Kuwait to the Chief Guest. Ambassador Farooq hailed the historic bilateral relationship cemented over past six decades and praised the cooperation extended by the Government of Kuwait in celebrating the anniversary in a befitting manner.

A short video documentary depicting the evolution of 60 years of bilateral relations was also screened.

This National Day coincides with the 60^th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Pakistan and Kuwait. In this regard, the Embassy has initiated a 72-hour campaign titled “Discover Pakistan” to project the true image of Pakistan. 48 digital high-definition screens throughout Kuwait are reflecting the tourism potential and cultural diversity of Pakistan starting from 23 March to 25 March 2023. In addition, a special supplement in Arabic language has been published, highlighting the tourism and investment potential of Pakistan and exhibiting 60-years journey of Pakistan-Kuwait relations.
