The Embassy of Pakistan in Bangkok organized a reception at a local hotel to mark 76th National Day of Pakistan on 23rd March 2016. The ceremony was attended by more than 400 guests including high officials from Thai government, military, UNESCAP, diplomatic corps, and members of Pakistani community. The Deputy Prime Minister General Thanasak Patimapragorn and (Rajawongs Thepkamol Devakula,) member of King’s Privy Council were Chief Guests at the occasion. Dr. Sohail Khan, Ambassador of Pakistan to Thailand highlighted Pakistan-Thailand bilateral cooperation in political, economic and education fields in his remarks. He mentioned the upward trajectory of growth in bilateral trade and prospects of further increase in trade and investment field after conclusion of Pakistan Thailand Free Trade Agreement by June 2017. The event provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen linkages with Thai government officials, diplomatic corps, international organizations, UN bodies as well as with the private sector, business, and academia and media representatives.
