A delegation from the prestigious institution for training, National School of Public Policy Pakistan (NSPP), comprising senior civil servants is presently visiting Brazil on a study tour from 4-10 November 2018.
In Sao Paulo, the delegation, held useful meetings at the Federation of Industries (FIESP), National Service of Industrial Education Learning (SENAI), Higher Education Institute (FGV) and the Sao Paulo Chamber of Commerce (ACCSP).
In Brasilia, the delegation was briefed on various policy and administrative matters at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Itamaraty), National School of Public Administration (ENAP) and Agricultural Research Cooperation (Embrapa). The Federal Senate of Brazil welcomed the delegation in its ongoing plenary session where the delegation was briefed by the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations & National Defense.
On 7 November, the delegation was received at the Embassy of Pakistan on Pak-Brazil relations. Addressing the delegation, the Ambassador of Pakistan to Brazil H.E. Mr. Najm us Saqib stated that Pakistan and Brazil were making steady progress in further deepening the existing bilateral ties. Bilateral relations have registered significant improvement since the start of 2018. The Agreement on Technical Cooperation between Pakistan and Brazil was singed on 06 August 2018. Nine additional agreements in important areas of cooperation are under consideration.
Leader of the Delegation, Dr. Muhammad Iqbal Chauhan, expressed profound gratitude to the Embassy of Pakistan for organizing a befitting visit programme for the delegation, the warm welcome and appropriate briefing on subjects of interest to the delegation. He stated that the undertraining senior officers had greatly benefited from their visit to the beautiful country of Brazil.
