Pakistan Day Reception was commemorated with national fervor on March 22, 2018 in Kyiv, Ukraine. The venue was decorated with traditional handicrafts and artifacts of Pakistan. To promote soft image of beloved homeland a special segment ‘Colours of Pakistan’ was also presented which projected traditional dances of all federating units of Pakistan.

Mr. Waqar Ahmad, Charge d’ Affaires highlighted the importance and significance of the day during the opening remarks. The audience was briefed about Pakistan’s efforts to combat international war on terrorism and its backlash to Pakistan’s national security and sovereignty. The audience about the potential of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) to change socio-economic situation of the whole region.

Mr. Mykola Petrovych Movchan, Deputy Minister for Youth, Sports and European Integration graced the event as chief guest. He congratulated people of Pakistan on the occasion of Pakistan Day. Being a vibrant person, the Deputy Minister also expressed his willingness and further cooperation with Pakistan in Youth and Sports Development.

Pakistan and Ukraine enjoy close and cordial relations which are based on mutual respect and trust. Leadership of both the sides is committed to strengthen bilateral cooperation in diverse areas including energy, infrastructure development, youth-sports development, defence and education.
