Pakistan and Brazil signed the Agreement on Technical Cooperation in Brasilia today. Ambassador of Pakistan to Brazil Mr. Najm us Saqib and Head of Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC), Ambassador Joao Almino inked the Agreement on behalf of their respective Governments.

Through this Agreement, Pakistan and Brazil have agreed to promote technical cooperation in important areas such as agriculture, livestock, health, education and professional qualification.

The Agreement shall remain in force for a period of five years and shall be renewed automatically for successive periods of equal duration.

Speaking at the occasion, Ambassador Najm us Saqib and Ambassador Joao Almino expressed satisfaction over the steady pace of strengthening ties between Pakistan and Brazil in different areas. Both looked forward to utilizing the additional avenues of cooperation, provided in the Technical Cooperation, for the welfare and betterment of the peoples of both the countries.

Pakistan and Brazil enjoy cordial and friendly relations ever since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1950. Signing of the Technical Cooperation Agreement is yet another manifestation of this cordial relationship indicating a common desire of strengthening bilateral relations in all fields.
