Chief of the Army Staff of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan General Qamar Javed Bajwa, NI(M) arrived in the Sultanate on three days official visit on 25th March 2018. Upon his arrival in the Sultanate he was received by th, Brunei Government officials, High Commissioner of Islamic Republic Pakistan, Major General Tariq Rashid Khan, Hilal-e-Imtiaz (Military), (R) and Embassy staff at the airport. In the evening, Pakistan High Commissioner hosted a banquet in the honour of visiting Pakistan Army Chief at Rizqun International Hotel. Minister of Defense-II, Commander Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Commander Royal Brunei Land Forces, Navy, Air Force, Joint Force and Ambassador of China, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and Turkey also attended the dinner. The High Commissioner in his remarks highlighted various facets of strong existing bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries. He hoped that the visit by Pakistan Army Chief, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, (NI)M to Brunei Darussalam is indicative of warmth and importance of existing bilateral relations and hoped that this visit will help laying strong foundation to further strengthen bilateral ties specially in the field of defence. The High Commissioner thanked and appreciated the distinguished guests for attending the dinner.
