The Consulate General of Pakistan, Dubai to ease sufferings of Pakistani prisoners in line with the instructions of the Government of Pakistan, provided Eid Package to 330 Pakistani prisoners detained in jails in Dubai and Northern Emirates. The support was provided in form of cash in the bank accounts of the prisoners who can use the amount for their daily essential needs. This is part of initiatives of the Consulate General for the welfare of Pakistani prisoners.

Earlier, the Consulate General also facilitated release of prisoners and provided air tickets to 103 Pakistani prisoners for their repatriation to Pakistan who were given pardon by the Government of the UAE or who had completed their jail sentences or were destitute in Dubai and Northern Emirates. Another batch of 49 prisoners from Ajman jail will be sent back to Pakistan shortly.

The Consulate General also provided Ramadan Package to 225 Pakistani workers living in the Labour Camp who were not paid salaries for the last 6 months by their employer.
