Flag Hoisting Ceremony was organised at the Embassy of Pakistan in Vienna to celebrate National Day of Pakistan

Ambassador Aftab Ahmed Khokher hoisted Pakistani flag in a simple ceremony to mark the Pakistan day. After the national anthem, Ambassador Khokher read out messages of the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan.

Ambassador Khokher said that Pakistan Day is commemorated to pay homage to the founding fathers of Pakistan whose services and sacrifices led to the creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the sub-continent. It was a day for reaffirmation of our resolve to make Pakistan an economically stronger and prosperous country.

Ambassador Khokher also stressed that Pakistan would continue to extend political, moral and diplomatic support to the Kashmiri people in their just struggle for the right of self-determination. The resolution of Jammu & Kashmir Dispute would complete the implementation of partition plan for the creation of Pakistan, he said.

The Ceremony was held in a Covid safe environment keeping in view the restrictions of the local government.
