A flag hoisting ceremony was held at the premises of the Embassy of Pakistan, Czech Republic. Due to the COVID-19 restriction measures in place by the Czech Authorities the ceremony was attended only by the staff of the mission. The Ambassador of Pakistan, Muhammad Khalid Jamali hoisted the flag and read the messages by the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan.

The President Dr. Arif Alvi, in his message paid homage to the founding fathers whose sacrifices led to the creation of Pakistan for the Muslim’s of the sub-continent. The President pledged to continue Pakistan’s struggle for a humane, inclusive, democratic and tolerant society for all including minorities residing in Pakistan.

Prime Minister Imran Khan, in his message reiterated his government’s vision to transforming Pakistan into a true democratic welfare state on the model of Riyasat-e-Madinah, the first Islamic Welfare State established by the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W). Prime minister also expressed solidarity with the people of Indian IIegally Occupied Jammu & Kashmir (I.I.O.J&K), who have been victims of state terrorism by Indian security forces.

The President and the PM expressed their gratitude towards the health workers and administrators who have emerged as true heroes in the fight in during the COVID-19 pandemic. The leadership urged the nation and all its citizens to follow the SOP’s for COVID-19 so as to overcome the ongoing pandemic with unity, faith and discipline.

The Embassy organized an art competition for Pakistani children residing in the Czech Republic organized an art competition for Pakistani children residing in the Czech Republic title “Pakistan-My Pride and Joy”. The children participated enthusiastically sharing artwork depicting their love for their country and have been shared on social media in addition to being awarded commendation certificates.
