Embassy of Pakistan Niamey organized a simple but dignified ceremony on Youm-e-Istehsal at the Chancery. Distinguished guest from host government including Pakistani community members and officials of this Mission participated in the program. The program started with recitation of Holy Quran.
The messages of the President, Prime Minister and Foreign Minister were read to the audience and translated in French. Mr. Abdullahaye Altin, a distinguished local guest condemned year-long military siege by Indian occupation forces in Indian Occupied Kashmir. He stressed Indian government to stop brutality in Kashmir and urged to settle the freedom struggle of people of Jammu & Kashmir as per United Nations Security Council resolutions and the commitment made by the Indian leadership for their right of self-determination.
Professor Mamadou Seyni Maiga underscored the role of international community to resolve this issue on UN agenda. He stressed that Muslims under OIC must unite for the cause of Kashmir. He said that oppressed people has birthright of self-determination. If 2.0 billion Muslim across the world decide to help Kashmir. They, under OIC leadership should go for the boycott of India. It will bring India to its knees. This enforced disappearances, curfews and blatant violations must stop; he added.
Head of Mission highlighted the historical dimensions of the Jammu & Kashmir dispute and lauded the struggle for independence of the Kashmiri people. The continued human rights violations of innocent at the hand of Indian occupation forces were highlighted. He said that UNSC resolutions clearly mention the right of self-determination through plebiscite. He said that revocation of the Article 370, altering the administrative set up of disputed state was violation of UNSC resolutions. The occupation authorities have made 8 million people prisoners since 5th August 2019. The demographic change through domicile law by the occupation forces is un-acceptable. He stressed upon the international community to compel India for the resolution of this long-standing issue as per UN resolutions and aspirations of the people of Jammu & Kashmir.
