THE Pakistan High Commission in Brunei Darussalam recently hosted an iftar (breaking of fast) dinner in honour of the Pakistani expatriate community in Brunei.

Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam Ahmed Ali Sirohey addressed the gathering, saying that Ramadhan teaches the faithful to have empathy for poor and hungry people around them, in addition to caring for the physically disabled, orphaned children and travellers. He also extended his appreciation to several Pakistani doctors, who had assisted the high commission in serving the dinner guests.

More than 200 Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Indians, Indonesians, Malaysians, Thais and Bruneians attended the dinner.
