Pakistan National Day

A flag hoisting ceremony was held at the High Commission of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to commemorate the 83^rdNational Day of Pakistan. Pakistani community in Brunei Darussalam including doctors, teachers, businessmen, military officers, students as well as the officials of the High Commission along with their families attended the ceremony. Members of Pakistan Brunei Friendship Association and Bruneian businessmen and notables also graced the occasion as special guests.

Messages of the President and the Prime Minister of Pakistan on this occasion were read out by the High Commissioner and Deputy Head of Mission respectively. Both the leaders in their messages paid rich tribute to the Father of the Nation and other leaders of Freedom Movement for their vision, political acumen and unparallel sacrifices which led to creation of Pakistan in 1947.

At this occasion, the High Commission and Pakistani community members expressed their resolve to serve the country with utmost dedication and sincerity for the betterment of Pakistan.
