The Ambassador of Pakistan to Brazil, H.E Mr. Najm us Saqib inaugurated Pakistan Pavilion on 12 September at GOTEX Fair Exhibition Centre, Sao Paulo – the business and commercial hub of Brazil. In his meeting with the Pakistani businessmen, the Ambassador, among other things, urged them to make best use of their presence in Brazil; hold B2B meetings; understand market dynamics and cultivate strong connections and linkages with major players in the textile industry.
Five Pakistani companies, under the auspices of Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), are exhibiting textile products in the event taking place in Sao Paulo from 12-14 September, 2017. The participating companies from Pakistan include: Ashar International (Pvt) Ltd- Faisalabad, Ayesha Spinning Mills Ltd-Lahore, Master Textile Mills Ltd-Lahore, Nifra Industries-Sialkot and Kims Clothing-Karachi. Besides this, two other Pakistani companies namely Kamal Hosiery Mills and Interloop Limited are also participating in the event on self-finance basis.
An institutional booth for Pakistan is also arranged, projecting and promoting Pakistan’s presence in the region as well as encouraging participation at EXPO Pakistan 2017.
The Pakistani businessmen expressed deep gratitude to the Ambassador for his presence and guidance. They also appreciated efforts of the Government of Pakistan, TDAP, the Embassy and the Commercial Section for well-coordinated and impressive arrangements.
GOTEX is a trade fair for textiles showcasing businesses of Brazil with focus on global sourcing to enable textile manufacturers from various countries to introduce differentiated products, designs and services to the global market especially in South America.
This is the first participation of Pakistani companies in any textile trade show in Brazil in the past 3 years.
