Pakistan sends relief assistance for people affected by landslide in Afghanistan
In a gesture of solidarity with the people of Afghanistan, Pakistan has sent emergency relief assistance for those affected by the landslide in the Badakhshan Province. On the instructions of Prime Minister Mohammad Nawaz Sharif, the first flight of C-130 carrying relief supplies has reached Faizabad (Badakhshan) today. The consignment contains essential emergency relief items, including tents, blankets, and water purification tablets.
Earlier, in his message of sympathy and condolences to President Hamid Karzai, the Prime Minister said that the people of Pakistan stand shoulder-to-shoulder with their Afghan brethren as they brave this tragic natural disaster.
