Pakistan the Halal Kitchen of the World

Consul General of Pakistan in Chengdu Muhammad Mudassir Tipu mooted the idea of promoting ‘Pakistan the Halal Kitchen of the World’ through exhibitions, exchange of information and delegations, and knowledge. He invited Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan’s delegation to visit Chengdu and explore the idea with the business community of Sichuan. The delegation included Dr Khursheed Nizam President and Uzair Nizam Vice President of the Ecommerce Gateway. The delegation, this morning, met Ma Zhijun, Chairman Halal Food Professional Committee of Sichuan International Chamber of Commerce.

Ma informed that there was a very large Muslim population in China with nearly six thousand Halal food factories. All factories were members of Halal Food Council which could provide machinery, technical knowledge and international certification with standardization to Pakistani companies. This will open a big avenue of large-scale investments, joint ventures and information exchange which will contribute toward the immense development of value addition of Pakistani food products in the international Market.

On this occasion President Dr Khursheed Nizam announced a special complimentary package for each company participating in Halal Food Asia being organized from 1-3 September 2018 at Lahore Expo Centre. The complimentary package included return ticket, accommodation, food, visa invitation and city tour.

Ma Zhijun maintained that next month he will visit Pakistan to explore business opportunities there. He also maintained that he would sign an MOU with Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan to promote halal food business.

The CG underlined that the cooperation between Ecommerce Gateway Pakistan and Sichuan’s Halal Food Committee could help link up a lot of Halal food factories in China with Pakistan and will be a step in right direction to promote Pakistan as Halal Kitchen of the World.
