Responding to a question about a news report published in a section of the Indian press today, asserting that “Pakistan may junk Kashmir issue temporarily”, the Spokesman said that such reports were misleading and far-fetched. There was no change in Pakistan’s principled position on the Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
The Spokesman said that the Government and the people of Pakistan strongly believed that the Jammu and Kashmir dispute should be resolved in accordance with the relevant UN resolutions and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. Pakistan would continue extending its moral, political and diplomatic support to the valiant Kashmiris in their legitimate struggle for right to self-determination.
