THE Pakistan community in Brunei Darussalam celebrated Hari Raya Aidilfitri at The Rizqun International Hotel in Gadong recently.
A large number of families along with their children attended the event where the organisers arranged games and quiz as well as provided goodie bags for the children.
Dozens of prizes were also presented to winners of a Ramadhan quiz.
The attendees included Pakistani doctors, teachers, businessmen and professionals in the Sultanate, according to a press release.
In his address at the gathering, Ahmed Ali Sirohey, Acting High Commissioner of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam, said people need to implement the lessons of Ramadhan in their lives.
“We should be responsive to our neighbours and the needy,” he said, adding that “We have to prove that Ramadhan has taught us practical lessons.
