Pakistan’s National Security and Foreign Affairs Adviser Sartaj Aziz met with Turkish Foreign Minister Mr. Mevlut Cavusoglu today on the sidelines of the Ministerial Conference on Istanbul Process.

During the meeting, they reviewed matters relating to bilateral and regional issues. Both sides expressed satisfaction over the pace of bilateral cooperation. They hoped to step up progress in bilateral trade to a level reflective of friendly relations.

Both sides expressed the confidence to speed up implementation process of MoUs signed between the two countries.

Mr. Mevlut characterized bilateral relationship as close and forward looking encompassing a complete gamut of economic, trade, and political relations.

He informed that Turkey would host an horticulture exposition on children and flowers from April 23 to October 30 next year and invited Pakistan to participate. Sartaj Aziz said that Turkey and Pakistan could collaborate in flower and related exports. Both sides also discussed the current situation in the Middle East and challenges facing the Muslim world.
