Pakistan welcomes the appointment of Ambassador Holbrooke
(2009-01-23) In response to a question the Spokesman said US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called President Asif Ali Zardari yesterday to inform him about the appointment of Ambassador Richard Holbrooke as the Special Representative to coordinate US government’s efforts in our region. Pakistan welcomes the appointment of Ambassador Holbrooke and look forward to enhanced and fruitful engagement with the Special Envoy to further the cause of peace and stability of the region.
