Panel Discussion on Tolerance in Contemporary Times (17 November, 2020)

An event on the theme of “Tolerance in Contemporary Times” was organized at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today to observe the International Day of Tolerance. Foreign Minister Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi graced the occasion, which was attended by the Parliamentary Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Ms. Andleeb Abbas, as well as high-level representatives of the United Nations, members of the diplomatic community and senior government officials.

Panelists included: Dr. QiblaAyaz, former chairman of Council of Islamic Ideology; Bishop Humphrey Sarfaraz Peters, Moderator/President Bishop (Head) of Church of Pakistan; Mr. Krishan Sharma, leading lobbyist and Human Rights defender; and Mr. Taranjeet Singh, popular media personality. The discussion was moderated by PTV World’s renowned anchor, Mr. Faisal Rehman.
